Protection for Life’s Unexpected Accidents

Accidental Death & Dismemberment

Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance is a voluntary benefit that pays out if you die or suffer a serious injury in a covered accident. Designed to supplement life insurance, AD&D coverage offers financial support by helping with lost wages or offsetting costs from serious injuries, providing a safety net for unexpected tragedies. It’s an affordable way to enhance your protection, focusing specifically on accidental events rather than illness or natural causes.

This insurance covers critical situations like loss of life, loss of a limb, hand, foot, hearing, speech, sight, or thumb and index finger, as well as permanent and total disability that prevents you from working. However, AD&D insurance doesn’t cover death from natural causes, illness, or suicide, nor does it apply to incidents involving nonprescription drugs, committing a crime, or driving under the influence. Knowing these exclusions helps you understand the scope of this targeted coverage.
